THE Haigh Group sold its site in Ross-on-Wye, under a sale and lease agreement with Gemini Properties (UK) Limited, a Worcester based commercial property investment company.

The Haigh Group remains strongly committed to the local area, and has signed a 15- year lease with the site’s new owners, securing the future of its manufacturing facility in Ross.

This deal is designed to free up capital to support the expansion of Haigh Environmental and Haigh Engineering, which are seeing strong demand for their goods and services, particularly in the water sector and the NHS.

The sale will allow Haigh to invest in research and development, sustained growth, stock and people, and protect local jobs, including skilled manufacturing and project delivery roles.

The family-run business has been based in the town for more than 70 years, a proud history that has seen the company go from strength to strength, supporting local employment and initiatives, including a flagship partnership with Ross Rowing Club.

The site’s new owners have already started a review of the buildings on the estate and will continue to rent the smaller units to local businesses.

The company is committed to the future of the site as a light industrial facility, and we look forward to working with them as plans develop.

Last year Haigh Environmental Director Luke Shepherd said the firm employs around 60 local staff at the site, said: “The company has been headquartered in Ross-on-Wye since the 1950s, where it manufactures wastewater screens – a crucial component in water treatment systems.

““While we work all over the country, with water companies and private landowners alike, we are immensely proud of our ties to Ross-on-Wye. We are thrilled to be able to play our part in cleaning up the River Wye with various projects.”
