Several local residents have told the Ross Gazette that they are very concerned about their safety while waiting at traffic lights to get from the M50 spur onto the bypass, from the Label’s roundabout.
They said that it is very frightening to have to wait on the roundabout as other drivers are so impatient and attempt to get past.
Bell Contracting, who are completing the highway works on the A40, between the Labels roundabout to Hildersley on behalf of Edenstone Homes, which is the developer behind St Mary’s Garden Village, have told the Ross Gazette that they are aware of traffic building up at peak times.
A spokesperson told the Gazette that they are manning the traffic lights to try and prevent build up of traffic and keep traffic flow continuously moving.
He said: “The issue is cars going north on the A40 struggle to get out on the roundabout which then, in turn backs traffic up.”
He added that they were always aware of the difficulties of the location as it so close to the existing roundabout.
