Kirsty Swan and Tom Ballantyne were walking in Ross last Friday, January 15th when they saw something glinting in the snow.

Stuck in the ice was a plain gold wedding band. Kirsty picked it up and the couple brought it to the Ross Gazette to see if the newspaper could track down the owner.

Kirsty said:?"It looks like a man's ring so perhaps there is someone worried about how to tell his wife, I really hope we can get this ring back to him."

The ring was found in Broad Street on Friday at about 1.30pm. It has now been handed in to Ross Police Station. Contact the station on 0300 333 3000 for more information.
