A LOCAL campsite has won the accolade of being the Best Campsite in the West Midlands and runner up in the Best Family Campsite in the awards staged by Campsites.co.uk.
The team behind Haywood Farm Caravan and Camping Park in Swagwater Lane in Ross-on-Wye are certainly buzzing with Peter and Rosemary Metcalfe saying: “We have a brilliant team that go that extra mile to make all holidays here a joy and a pleasure with take away life memories.
“This year through the holidays we invested in children’s activities and they were a smashing hit with over 2,000 participants with nature rangers, colouring competitions, arts and crafts and lots more, including our own family sports day everyone receives a certificate of their event.
“We are incredibly proud and thrilled to receive this award. This recognition means the world to us, and we can't wait to welcome everyone to a new and exciting season, it is where memorable family adventures begin.
“As the visitor numbers have increased and we have been able to attract more tourism to the region. This of course has also helped the local economy with the surrounding businesses such as pubs, restaurants and the wonderful attractions that are available benefiting from the extra tourism expenditure.”
The annual Campsites.co.uk Camping and Glamping awards highlight the best camping, glamping, and touring sites across the UK, celebrating those sites who go above and beyond for their guests throughout the year.
