Wye Valley Salads, a local company which was founded eight years ago, as Veggies Galore, has won the ‘From the Earth Primary Category’ of the Delicious Magazine Produce Awards 2018 – one of only eight national winners.

They will now appear in a feature on the winners in this month’s edition of the glossy food magazine.

They also won both the Silver and Bronze awards for their Wye Valley Salads Edible Flowers and Wye Valley Salads Barba di Frate.

The company supplies local pubs, chefs and businesses, employing local people, growing chemical free products. They also use wool based packaging, with a bio-degradable cardboard box.

All the salads are hand-picked to order for the local chefs. Owner Amanda Stradling is delighted with all her wins. She said: “We are proud to have been nominated and to have won, the prestigious national “Delicious Magazines” annual “From the Earth” producers award for our Chefs Garden Salads, furthermore a “Highly Commended Accolade” for our Edible Flowers. We would like to thank everyone at Delicious Magazine and the judges for their time and unanimous support.”
