Matthew Hawkes is another Ross resident grateful to the NHS. He lived in Germany for 25 years and is used to a private health cover and getting a bill if you ever need treatment.
When he suffered a ruptured achilles tendon dancing at his nephew’s wedding he was delighted with the treatment he received at the Hospital in Hereford and at the fracture clinic. He told the Ross Gazette it makes so much difference when you are not worrying about the bill.
