Patients who were staying at the Ross-on-Wye Community Hospital over Christmas did not miss out on the festivities, thanks to the nurses and staff.
Father Christmas paid an early visit to Ross on Thursday, December 22nd, to spread some festive cheer to the patients. He was greeted by the Mayor, Councillor David Ravenscroft, and his wife, Doreen, the Mayoress.
The occupational therapy (OT) team also ran several activity groups, promoting festive crafts at the hospital in the lead up to Christmas. On Tuesday, December 20th, the OT team made mince pies and table decorations with the patients.
Jan Elliot, Sister at the Community Hospital, told the Ross Gazette that the patients were also each given a stocking, filled with small gifts, which they opened on Christmas morning.
She added that none of these events would have been possible without the support of the Friends of Ross Hospital or the hard-working and dedicated nurses and staff.
