The visiting restrictions at the Ross-on-Wye Community Hospital have now been lifted; two wards were closed to visitors on Monday, after there was an outbreak of the Norovirus.

During the closure, relatives of patients in the hospital were told that limited visiting could be arranged on compassionate grounds.

Visitors to the hospital are advised that they should practice good hand hygiene and make use of the alcohol anti-bacterial gels on entry points to the hospital, in an effort to prevent the spread of infection any further.

Anyone who experiences vomitting or diarrhoea should not attend hospital appointments until 48 hours after their symptoms have ended.
