A Ross-on-Wye dance studio is embracing the body positivity movement by releasing a bouncy summer photo set.

The Mizz Twisted Cherry Studios is on a mission to make sure that—this summer—no-one feels that their shape or size makes any difference whatsoever to their choice in what they wear this summer.

Studio owner Natalie Morgan-Dew is challenging the pressure face by many women to get a “bikini body”. She asserts that many fitness establishments use this vulnerability to get more business, in response she has created a photo campaign with some of her “awesome blossoms” to raise awareness that everybody has a body for the beach regardless of shape and size.

Natalie told the Gazette: “It’s that time of year again where fitness establishments—of every kind—use lots of advertising for ‘get summer body ready’ or get your ‘bikini body back’. This tactic preys on our insecurities and manipulates how we feel about ourselves so that businesses can profit. I’d rather my business go under than ever use such marketing ploys, so with that in mind a beautiful group of blossoms, have been helping spread awareness about this mission. We have been doing a photo campaign to show you, you are already bikini body ready.”

She added: “Regardless of shape, size, or age—you put your fiercest swimsuit on and strut your stuff at the beach. Because women empower women; confidence and self-esteem are the most important things; any kind of aerial or fitness is about what your body can do, not what it looks like.”
