Over the next few years the folk at Ross-on-Wye Community Garden are hoping to create an outdoor Christmas Tree Festival. In order to do this they need lots of trees, which they hope will be donated.
If you have recently purchased a rootballed or container grown Christmas tree and don't want to plant it in your own garden, then maybe you could consider donating it to the garden.
Tim Shelley, the Project Leader at the garden in Old Gloucester Road told the Ross Gazette:?"We would love to open up the whole garden to the general public all year round. Although it will take a number of years, we do hope it could be something very special for Ross-on-Wye. This is just one of a number of specific areas in the garden which we are creating."
The project, which is supported by Haygrove Development, started in March and regularly delivers vegetables to Ross Food Larder. Volunteers are currently working on a new soft fruit section and in the New Year they will be working on creating a seating and recreational area and also a sensory garden.
If you would like to donate a tree, then please contact Tim, pictured above, who will come and collect it. You can contact him on 07972624378 or [email protected]">[email protected]
