CreateRoss want to celebrate all the fantastic events that take place throughout the year in Ross and South Herefordshire.
The members of this group, set up to shout out about the wonderful opportunities there are to enjoy or take part in a range of great activities, are hoping to create a new calendar for Ross for 2019.
CreateRoss wants to make sure that any cultural activities, including music, drama, fine-art, dance get the support they so richly deserve, so they have decided to launch a competition.
They are looking for photographs capturing these activities which they can turn into a calendar for 2019. Every month between November 2017 and November 2018 they will be asking you to submit photos of events you believe should be included – not just of the events themselves, but behind the scenes, too. Some of these photos will be published in the Ross Gazette, but the best one from each month will be chosen by an independent panel of judges and be included in the calendar.
So, now is the time to start snapping and do your best to celebrate all the fabulous activities taking place in Ross. To start the ball rolling here’s a picture from the Hedgehog Festival this year taken by CreateRoss member, Caroline Utting.
There are lots of upcoming events which would make a good subject for a photograph suitable for the calendar, including the Christmas Tree Festival at St Mary’s Church, the Christmas Fayre and Town Lights Switch On, as well as several concerts.
