MADAM, Could you, or any of your readers please help me, and stop my wife from nagging?

I booked and paid for a week's holiday in the lovely Forest of Dean for the first week of June. Although we have lived in Hereford for five years the Forest is a place we kept promising to visit, so I took the initiative. The problem is that our daughter in Bootle is having a street party for the Jubilee and my wife was hoping to go and help and I can't afford to cancel our holiday.

My question is, is there anything going on in the Forest of Dean for the Jubilee. I feel that if there is I can shut her up and build on her expectations?

Editor's Note:?There most certainly is something going on in the Forest for the Jubilee. On Saturday, June 2nd from 2pm until 10 there will be an afternoon and evening of entertainment in the grounds of the Speech House Hotel.

There will be live music finishing with Lydbrook Band and a firework finale.
