Herefordshire Cardiac Support Group was formed in 2013. The group is made up of people who have all experienced a personal heart event.
The aim of the group is to help other people who were going through similar situations and to offer help and support. During the past two years the group have held several social evenings and although the aim was not to fundraise, through the generosity of those who attended, they were in a position to donate to Herefordshire Heartstart.
Herefordshire Heartstart deliver free Heartstart how to save a life courses across Herefordshire, as well as training school staff to deliver these skills to pupils.
Volunteers also give talks to Cardiac Rehab patients in Ross, Leominster and Hereford to encourage them to go out and spread the word about the importance of learning these vital skills and to book onto a course.
