Volunteers from the care community will be showing off their dancing skills in Hereford on Saturday, December 8th, when they take part in a special ‘Flash Mob’ performance.
Over 90 people from the care workforce will come together in a one off dance event to raise awareness of the Care Heroes recruitment campaign, which aims to encourage people to take up exciting job opportunities in social care.
The ‘Flash Mob’ will begin at 1.30pm in the Old Market area of Hereford.
Everyone is invited to come along to watch, take photos or join in.
Gathered amongst the group of dancers will be care workers, youth support workers, team leaders, managers and directors of organisations providing social care across the county.
The event follows the recent launch of the new Care Heroes website, which has become a popular ‘one stop shop’ for anyone interested in working in social care in Herefordshire and provides links to current job opportunities and information training. The website also offers videos of real life care heroes talking about their jobs and their experiences of making a difference in the local community.
As the population gets older and life expectancy increases more people will need support to live a safe and happy life, therefore Herefordshire needs more people working in adult social care.
