Following the AGM last month Herefordshire Humanists have drawn up an exciting programme full of barbecues, university professors, countryside walks, local poets and more! More than ever they are committed to showing people that there is a growing place for positive non-religious people who seek to live meaningful lives.

They are kicking off the year by hosting Professor Alan Haworth, patron of Humanists UK, University Professor and author of many books as he ponders the question "What is Free Speech?". Alan has taught courses in Ethics, Political Philosophy, and the History of Ideas at London Metropolitan University. As well as free speech, Alan has written on a number of issues and is a member of the Humanist Philosophers group.

The event will be held at the The Barrels Pub Function Room, 69 St. Owen Street, Hereford, Herefordshire, HR1 2JQ on February 27th, 7pm. All who are curious about Humanism, interested in Free Speech or simply looking for something to do that evening are, as always, most welcome.
