The Herefordshire Wildlife Trust have an exciting nature challenge for everyone. This June, the Trust are joining forces with the other 46 wildlife trusts around the UK and asking everyone do something wild every day for a month.

This follows on from last year’s successful campaign which saw thousands of people of all ages taking part in the challenge to go wild.

The challenge is simple and designed to delight: make room for nature - no matter where you are or how busy your life.

Everyone who signs up to the challenge - 30 Days Wild - will receive an inspirational pack full of encouragement, ideas and ‘Random Acts of Wildness’. They will also receive a funky wallchart to track progress, a wild badge, and regular blasts of inspiration throughout June, straight to their inbox, to help everyone make nature part of their lives.

The national 30 Days Wild sign-up page can be found at www.mywildlife.org.uk/30dayswild. The Herefordshire Wildlife Trust also have ideas and events, tailored especially for Herefordians on their 30 Days Wild website, available at www.herefordshirewt.org/30-days-wild.

Feel happier, healthier and more connected to nature by doing something wild every day this June. No matter where you live – from an urban jungle to a windswept mountain – wildlife and wild places are all aroundin Herefordshire waiting to be discovered by you.

The campaign kicks off in Herefordshire on June 1st when the Wildlife Trust will be hosting a Wild Garden Party when you can find out more about going wild. Visit their website (as above) for more details.

Evan Bowen-Jones, Herefordshire Wildlife Trust’s Chief Executive, said: “It is a well-known fact that a generation of children are growing up disconnected from nature and that only one in ten children ever play in wild places. This is a problem that affects adults too - it can be difficult to create the right moment or to find time for nature in our busy lives, but Herefordshire Wildlife Trust is here to inspire people - whatever their age, wherever they live, we want everyone to feel they can take part, so go on, log onto our website www.herefordshirewt.org and start your wonderful wildlife experience.”
