Madam, I would like to praise the common sense and co-operation of the young people who became involved in the incident involving a man carrying a gun in Hill Street.
As soon as they spotted something they thought was wrong, the young people came to the staff at the YZone and reported what they had seen. It is good to know that they view the Youth Centre as a place where they will be safe and where adults will listen to them and support them.
Thanks also to the police who responded to our concerns and made sure that a difficult situation was handled calmly and without further incident.
