The Highways Agency will investigate ways to help pedestrians cross the A40 after a new footpath was installed.

As reported in last week's Ross Gazette, residents are concerned that the new footpath will encourage pedestrians to try and cross the busy and fast-moving road.

The new footpath runs alongside the A449, A40 and Ledbury Road, and will allow people to walk to the Starbucks, Subway and petrol station nearby.Parents of children at John Kyrle High School were particularly concerned that they would be dodging the traffic to get to the shops on the other side of the road.
