Madam, on Tuesday, March 15th my car was parked in Old Maid's Walk, right opposite the police station. At 11.42 a blue truck or a vehicle such as a 4 x 4 hit my car as it pulled alongside it to let an oncoming vehicle past.
Instead of stopping it then carried on up the road, waited for five minutes and returned past my car at 11.47. The incident was caught on camera at Ross Police Station and, as the saying goes 'police, camera, action'.
However although the camera has the incident recorded, which is how I can be so specific about the times, the number plate wasn't visible, so the police can't take action.
Perhaps this letter will now prick someone's conscience, and they might like to sort the matter out.
