Local councillors have expressed their disappointment after it emerged last week that the investment by two aerospace companies into the county at Model Farm, Ross will not go ahead in the foreseeable future.
The plans which were expected to create hundreds of jobs and even an apprenticeship scheme linked to John Kyrle High School, have faltered as Get It Group, and its partners in Georgia and the Ukraine, had been unable to find markets for the products which would have been created in Ross.
Councillor Chris Bartrum, the Mayor of Ross told the Ross Gazette:?"I am very disappointed if the aerospace jobs are not coming but if the Ukrainians don't want to come or have found somewhere more to their liking, then that's their decision.
"We need to keep putting out the message that the Ross area is a great place to run a business enterprise and that we will do everything we can to encourage businesses and entrepreneurs to set up in business here."
