With over a quarter of the UK population eating curry once a week, Breast Cancer Haven launches the Big Community Curry Up! where people will get together and host their own Curry Up! events across Herefordshire, fundraising while doing so.
The Curry Up! launch took place on Friday, October 20th, at the Left Bank in Hereford, to raise money in aid of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
The event introduced guests to the joy and vibrancy of India, with a fantastic cookery demonstration from local cookery school, Rayeesa’s Indian Kitchen.
Rayeesa Asghar-Sandys, as seen on Dragon’s Den with her Spiced by Rayeesa range, gave a great demonstration on how to make a fish curry and a chapati, confidently teaching information on spices, cooking rice and onions correctly, and how to finish off curry dishes.
The wonderful Starlight Company also performed Bollywood style dancing to entertain the guests, and a free ‘Bombay Burger’ was provided by Burger Shop, A Rule of Tum.
Visit the website to reserve your free fundraising pack and host your own Curry Up between October and January!
