A local hotel owner who is £400 worse off after two customers left without settling their bill wants to warn other businesses about them and he is using social media to do it.
Steve Hubber from the Castle Lodge said the couple aroused no suspicions as they arrived on October 1st in a white Series 3 BMW. They had prebooked on-line and given their credit card details. He described the couple as in their 40s. The woman was blond and plump, about 5 foot 4 inches tall, the man was of mixed race and quite tall, at least 6 foot. Steve said he may have been 6 foot 4 inches as he had to duck to get through some of the doorways in the hotel.
When the couple, who were using the names Edward and Lisa, arrived they said they had just spent five days at a hotel in the Forest of Dean. Although they ordered food and drink, which was charged to their account, it was not enough to make anyone suspicious, especially, Steve added, as the hotel had the couple's credit card details.
