The Ross-on-Wye 2015 Carnival was a resounding success, and despite rain threatening on a couple of occasions, the weather stayed dry and warm, much to the event organisers’ relief.
Hundreds of people lined the streets to see the procession of floats. Lucy Phillips, this year’s Carnival Princess led the procession, along with her attendants, on a land train.
Following the Princess’ train were some fantastic floats. The Ross Preschool Playgroup’s Frozen float won Class one; Craig Morgan and his 101 dalmatians won Class two; X-entricity’s Peter Pan Pirates float won Class three; the Best Handmade costume was awarded to Chris Ellis for her cupcake outfit; and the Best Walking Group was awarded to Sharon Heaven’s Walking Hedgehog Bus.
After the parade, there was entertainment at the Rope Walk. There were also many stalls, a fun fair, refreshments, and a vintage car display.
