Keeping up a long-time tradition in Ross-on-Wye, Father Christmas made a special early visit to the town on Saturday, December 19th.

He arrived in the Market Place on a float from Broad Street, accompanied by local children and a Minion character. Leading the procession were members of the Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Brownies and Guides who carried torches to light the way into town.

Father Christmas then met the Mayor of Ross, Councillor Colin Gray, before meeting hundreds of excited children and their parents, siblings and friends. Each child received a goody bag filled with sweets, fruit and toys.

Before the procession the crowds were entertained with a selection of seasonal songs and carols by Ross Town Band and St Mary’s Church Choir
