The invitation has gone out to pupils and students at the county's schools and colleges to "get involved" and make this year's Diamond Jubilee celebrations something to remember.

On Wednesday, July 11th, Herefordshire will welcome the Queen as part of her tour of the country to mark her Diamond Jubilee.

During the day, Hereford's King George V playing fields are set to explode with the sights and sounds of all that is good and great about Herefordshire, with the whole county invited to get involved.

The sparkling celebration will reflect life in the county during the past 60 years and blend this with a taste of life in the 21st century and beyond.

To ensure the county's young people can get involved activity packs have been produced and distributed to all schools and colleges this week.
