When David Jones went out to check his cattle on Saturday night the last thing he was expecting was to have an experience that was out of this world, but he is convinced that the strange lights he saw were 'not of this planet'.

Mr Jones told the Ross Gazette that he went out to check the livestock at about quarter to 12 on Saturday, June 12th and it was soon after that he first noticed the lights. And Mr Jones is not the only person to have reported seeing strange lights in the sky on Saturday. There have been reports in other local newspapers and on social network sites.

When Mr Jones told the Ross Gazette about his experience he said he wanted people to know what he had seen in case anyone else came forward to say they had seen something unusual.

The first unusual thing Mr Jones noticed was as he drove out of the farmyard toward the field where his heavily pregnant cattle were grazing. He saw a bright beam of light in the north. At first he disregarded it but then he saw it again after he had opened the gate to the field and driven in. He considered that it might have been 'lampers', poachers out with bright lights which help in the hunt. He thought to himself, 'I'll sort them out.'

But then Mr Jones became aware of two other objects moving around the sky. He said at first I thought they might have been large birds but they did not have any wings.

He reassured The Ross Gazette that: "I am the of sort of person who has his feet firmly on the ground but this was something I will never forget."

The lights were moving at immense speed but they made no noise and they followed him as he completed his journey around the field.
