Watched by family and friends, James Aubrey of the Lea, passed out from The Royal Military Academy Sandhurst on August 9th as a Second Lieutenant. James has been commissioned into the Corps of Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers.
At the age of 12, James joined the Ross Army Cadet Force after a recruitment drive at The John Kyrle High School. Since then, his goal has been to become an officer in the British Army. In order to achieve this he secured himself a place at Welbeck Defence Sixth Form College, after a rigorous selection process.
There he took the A Levels that led to a place at The University of Birmingham, where he read Computer and Communication Systems Engineering. After obtaining his engineering degree he then went on to complete the officer training course at RMA Sandhurst.
