The Wye Valley’s leading eco-friendly laundry provider, is celebrating a major milestone after successfully purchasing the building they have been operating from since 2022—making it their permanent home.

JEH Laundry Services of Whitchurch has been proudly serving hotels, guest houses, holiday lets, restaurants, and more across the Southwest for over 13 years, initially from its previous premises in Coleford.

And when they moved into the derelict warehouse in the village in September 2022, the hands-on team rolled up their sleeves and set about transforming it into the region’s leading eco-laundry.

With state-of-the-art, energy-efficient equipment, their own borehole water supply, green energy, and environmentally friendly products, the facility showcases their dedication to sustainability.

The business operates with no single-use plastic and supports many local businesses in making greener choices through their laundry partnerships.

Owner John Johnston said: “We have an opportunity to make a real difference within the laundry business and to our environment – it’s something we’re passionate about, and we’re excited to continue expanding our services.”

As well as providing high-quality commercial laundry services, JEH Laundry Services also offers a pioneering eco-alternative to dry cleaning that’s kinder to skin, garments, and the planet – with free collection and delivery within 15 miles of their Whitchurch base.

The company are also looking to the future with a new app that makes arranging collections quick and convenient, which is ideal for Airbnb and self-catering accommodation owners.

Mr Johnston added that Oliver Robson at HCR Law in Ross-on-Wye and Matt Ferns were instrumental in helping JEH Laundry Services to secure its forever home and concluded: “With this purchase, JEH Laundry Services strengthens its roots in the community and looks ahead to a future focused on innovation, sustainability, and exceptional service.”

JEH now provides a regular subscription service delivering fresh, ethically sourced linen and towels every week, saving hosts valuable time during changeovers.
