Eleven past pupils from John Kyrle High School got together for a reunion on Saturday, August 18th.

This came about after two of the group bumped into each other recently, and mentioned that after all this time, there had been no real effort to get everyone together.

After a ‘shout out’ on Facebook, 11 of the ‘Class of 1990’ (who were not already busy or on holiday), managed to get to the Royal Hotel in Ross-on-Wye, from all across the country.

The group caught up on each other’s lives, finding out what they are all doing and where they live. They shared some of their memories about each other from their school days, about some of teachers, including Mr Rees and Mr Sanders, and introduced Toni and Caroline to each other (as Toni started as Caroline left).

They also talked about who they are still in touch with and what they are up to now.

They told the Ross Gazette:?“We enjoyed reminiscing, and as some of us have children who were about to get GCSE results, we remembered when we got ours.”

They visited the Royal Hotel, the Man of Ross and Leonard’s at 39 and are hoping to organise another reunion next year, with more notice so that more friends can attend.

They added:?“Class of 1990 keep an eye out for next years date!”
