Starting school for the first time is always a big event in every child’s life, but for one local family the first day at school was even more significant then usual.
Jobe Taylor-Davies, who was critically injured after he was kicked in the head by a horse in February 2013, started at St Joseph’s School this term. His parents, Helen and Ben thanked everyone who has made it possible.
At just 16 months old, Jobe was rushed to Ross Community Hospital where he was placed in a coma, then taken by air ambulance to Birmingham Children’s Hospital for emergency treatment.
His recovery and progress has been followed by many residents in Ross and his parents have regularly posted updates on their Facebook page, Baby Jobe’s Progress.
On September 7th, Helen and Ben said how thrilled they were at Jobe’s first day at primary school.
They said that this was: “Thanks to the help of two teaching assistants who seem determined to continue the great work of Abacus Nursery School in providing as ‘normal’ an education as possible – to which we, as a family, are truly indebted.”
