JOHN Kyrle High School achieved another year of exceptional A Level and BTEC Level three results, with remarkable achievements across a wide range of subjects.

The successes were achieved in English, criminology, sociology, drama, computer and science among many others. An impressive of all A Level grades were at A to C*.

Early indications show the average grade achieved was a B. These outcomes reflect the dedication, resilience, and ambition of both our students and staff.

Headteacher Julian Morgan said: “These are a fantastic results. This only happens when students, families and our incredible staff work together. It’s so much more than this though.

“Today is not just about grades on a page, it’s about the determination, resilience and character our students have shown on the journey here.

Amongst this cohort were the following individual successes: Hazel Needham Church gained three A*s, as did Ellie Stevens who is going to Cambridge to read History; Morgan Meredith will be studying medicine at Plymouth, while Keria Harris and Emily Rees both achieved three A grades; Jeremy Maxwell obtained one A* and two A grades and is going to read computer science at university; Casey Cropp is going on to read optometry at Cardiff.

A number of subject areas had stand-out subject performances: English language achieved 57 per cent of all grades at A or A*; textiles and geology both recorded 50 per cent of all grades at A or A*.
