A new Facebook group has been set up to organise a charity challenge with a difference.
’The ‘Ross-on-Wye £10 Charity Shop Challenge’ , which was originally the brainchild of local resident Ed O’Driscoll, has been taken up enthusiastically by Yolande Watson to help lots of different charities while having a bit of fun.
Anyone who wants to take part will be meeting at Acorns in Gloucester Road on Wednesday, March 2nd at 12.30pm. Then the group will take the next two hours visiting as many charity shops as possible, including those in High Street, Broad Street and Brookend Street to spend £10.
The finish will be at EnviroAbility (near the bottom of Brookend Street) where the best dressed will be chosen.
Yolande told the Ross Gazette that the main point of the afternoon is to have some fun, and everything spent in the shops will be helping different charities.
