MADAM, I was called by a local resident on Sunday morning with reference to a burnt out vehicle in Kent Avenue. The Fire Service attended on Friday and did their usual good job of putting the fire out.The vehicle was still there on Sunday, with glass all over the pavement and road, with a loose door panel leaning against the side. I managed to find a very helpful CSO on Sunday morning and left her to sort it out. Why was this not sorted out on Friday? There seems to be no joined-up thinking between services. At the last election I suggested the services work more closely together, ie, share buildings, communications systems etc. This would obviously save a lot of taxpayers' money. Please just get on and do it. New Police Commissioners please take note.
