MADAM, Having just read the Ross Gazette published on September 24th, we would like to follow up the request for votes on keeping our Mayor.
Being a reasonably new resident to Ross (seven years), we would like to say that we fell in love with Ross from the first day.
The privilege of living in a market town where the old values still exist continues to give us a feeling of warmth and safety in that it is good to see the regular markets, excellent service from the shop owners who always treat their customers with respect and most of all that traditions have been maintained. It is unthinkable that we should lose our Mayor, so if it is possible for a small change in the official title of Ross-on-Wye to be acceptable, we can still retain our status of a beautiful historic town, I am sure is much loved by so many. It would be incomplete if we lost our Mayor. June and Don Millington Ross
