Dirty and unkempt shop fronts have been the focus of recent attention. They were discussed at the latest meeting of the Association of Ross Traders and at the annual Ross Town Meeting.

Many of the members of ART agreed that they should keep their own steps and doorways clean, check for signs or guttering that need repairing and then they could turn their attention to other businesses.

At the Town Meeting Margaret Lucas, said that she felt ashamed when she saw some of the doorways in the town. She said that many traders did their best to keep the area looking nice but everyone should help.

Councillor Gordon Lucas brought a cutting from the Ross Gazette into the office showing that this was not a new problem.
