Rachel Woods, who lives at the lower end of Archenfield Road, is upset that she has lost a much loved family pet but also concerned that drivers are not observing the speed restriction on this road.

She told the Ross Gazette that she has seen drivers going past her house at speeds of up to 60 miles per hour and last week her cat, Bertie, was killed by a driver who did not stop.

Rachel said:?"This is a residential road, there are children and old people using it all the time and there are many family homes where there are pets."

She is concerned that even when drivers are observing the speed limits they are not fully aware of the kind of area they are in. She said:?"I know we take a risk having pets in a house near a road but drivers should be a bit more aware that there are animals and should take more care."
