The Ross branch of Royal British Legion is currently fundraising for a Remembrance Bench in honour of several service men who fell during the Falklands conflict, including Pte Tim Jenkins.

Much Marcle Primary School pupil Kitty Hatch wanted to do her bit to help fundraise for the bench, as her great uncle was Pte Tim Jenkins.

Kitty, who is eight years old, is currently selling eggs and homemade jams on a little stall outside her house in Putley, Ledbury, and is donating her profits to the cause.

Kittys’ mum, Charlotte Hatch said “Kitty is well aware of the sacrifices our servicemen and women make. She is incredibly proud to say that Pte Tim Jenkins is her Uncle and would like to remind everyone to wear the poppy with pride.”

Kitty has managed to raise over £60 so far.
