• Youngsters at Whitchurch Whizkids and pupils in Aspen Class at Whitchurch Primary School discovered how to take care of animals during a special morning when ZooLab paid a visit.

The children were introduced to the animal groups and the needs all animals have, such as food, water and shelter.

They then met several animals and were able to stroke and hold them. The pictures below and right show just how thrilled they were to meet Bugs the rabbit.

They also saw lots of different small animals.

ZooLab takes exotic animals into UK schools with a series of hands-on workshops featuring a variety of animals that include snakes, tarantulas, lizards, frogs, toads, scorpions, giant land snails and millipedes as well as rats and guinea pigs.
