Madam, over many years repected Rossians were remembered by the provision by families, friends and others, of dedicated seat throughout the town for the use of less fit citizens of all ages. They were maintained and replaced by benevolent persons and bodies of charitable associations. It is therefore sad to see the vandalism of some seats, eg the one by the junction of Smallbrook Road with Gloucester Road, which had been well appreciated since its installation by several shoppers and disabled people.

Also sorely missed is the one which provided comfort to many shoppers of all levels of ability when needed in The Maltings. it has been said that this wil be reinstated as soon as all criteria necessary has been met and it is another sign of the times that this vandalism was committed in an area which is locked at 'unsociable' hours, so did no-one see it or report it? Shame.
