Dear Editor

Further to previous articles and subsequent letters, pigeons are indeed a nuisance, potential health hazard and cause a risk to pedestrians.

I wish to add a useful and suitable solution that may be agreeable to all that has been tried before.

Recently on the television, the National Trust brought in the services of a falconer to remove pigeons from one of their properties.

It was reported to be successful and no pigeons were harmed.

I also am quite sure that there are local falconers who would be more than willing to be of assistance in this matter. It is also possible that there may be no charge for their services.
