Can any of your readers help - especially those who live or have family or other connections with Howle Hill area, just south of Ross-on-Wye?

I am seeking information about members of my late (January, 2018) mother’s family who lived in that area anytime between mid 1974 and the early 20th Century.

All I have to go on is that they were apparently sisters, may have had the surname ‘Ball’ or ‘Payne/Paigne’ and acted as caretakers for either the (now long closed and converted) Anglican or Methodist Church on the hill.

Any information would be welcome, and can be forwarded to me by post only through the Ross Gazette.
