Dear Editor
Can I reply to the question posed by Paul Thomas Bailey in regard to the Minor Injury Unit at the Community Hospital, “Where is our MP when needed?”
Our MP is a member of the Conservative party which seems to be hell bent on starving our NHS of enough funding to keep places like this open. Starting in the winter months and then saying well it did not cause any problems so we may as well close it in summer as well. It is very unlikely that Jessie Norman will defy his party and fight to keep our unit open. He may well make vague assurances but that will be it.
With firstly the Libdems and now the DUP assisting to keep the Conservatives in power this gives them the chance to run down the NHS and introduce private health care.
I would be very afraid of any trade deals being negotiated with America where they have this system. Prime Minister May will give away anything to claim it’s a good deal for this country. Can you afford to take out health care for you and your family? Go online and look up the cost.We need to fight to keep our NHS.
