Dear Editor
Ross is a beautiful town and a wonderful place to live and we all want to keep it that way.
The recent flooding and now the coronavirus are having a terrible impact. Some of us have been or will be directly affected in tragic ways.
While taking action to personally protect ourselves and others it has never been more important for us to support each other and local businesses to get through this very difficult time.
I hope the government will put money where it is really needed to develop community resilience. Give us the resources that can be used to protect lives and property. Enable businesses and homes at threat from further flooding to build in measures that mean they don’t fail.
Herefordshire needs much more targeted financial support if it is to get through this period intact.
