I’d like to take a moment to thank the Ross men’s shed for their recent help on the refurbishment of the bench on Gloucester Road, opposite the former Chase Hotel.

It is a bench which not only holds memories of Mr T.E.R Morris for the family but also a most welcome comfortable rest for those walking into town. Without the men I fear the bench, which fell into poor order, may have been taken away and not returned. A few avenues failed before contact with the Men’s shed and a year later we find the bench back in its home.

I’m sure others are very thankful and appreciate the time they spent repairing the bench. Thank you Ross men’s shed not only for your support on this bench but all the projects you help on with residents and the town.
