Dear Editor
I was recently sent a small package which failed to arrive when expected. I checked with our sorting office and so did the sender with his sorting office in the north of England – yes it had been posted and ‘no’ it wasn’t there. Days passed – frustration; ‘lost in the post!’
Just over a week later the package arrived, wrongly addressed - no house number and the wrong post code. Only our name to identify us. The sorting office and ‘posties’ in Ross must have carried out a diligent search with only a surname to go on before finding us.
I cannot praise the postal service in Ross enough for going the extra mile to give a service which we all take for granted. With grateful thanks for delivering the gift.
