Dear Editor
Your article on Edde Cross Street in this week’s Gazette brought back some memories. I have attached a picture taken on January 9th 1982 when it snowed for 48 hours and Ross was at a standstill for almost a week.
The only things that moved were tractors as can be seen in the picture of Broad Street on the same day.
Global warming wasn’t spoken about in those days.
