The Festival, now in its 13th year, is run by a team of local volunteers and is a non profit-making Community Interest Company (CIC), with a policy of supporting local charities and other voluntary groups.Robert Muncey, Chairman of the festival organising committee, presented the cheques and during the presentation he wished members of the nominated charities continued success in their money raising efforts.
The recipients were: Hope for Tomorrow (£1,000), a national cancer charity dedicated to bringing vital mobile chemotherapy treatment closer to patients homes; the County Air Ambulance (£1,000); and Ross Hope Support Services (£1,000), a Herefordshire charity set up to support young people and children when a close family member is diagnosed with a life threatening illness. A donation of £500 was also given to St.Mary's Church, Linton, that has a strong local support and runs a successful children's Sunday Club in the Village Hall. Cheques for £300 were also given to both the Linton Brownies and Lea Brownies.
