Wendy Salter, a founder member of the Ross Community Litter Clean Up Crew, was disgusted when she visited the Skate Park, at the Wilton Road Car park on Saturday morning.
She posted several pictures showing broken glass vodka bottles, abandoned clothing and the litter bin, which had been uprooted and left on its side.
She said that it was not an isolated event, as: “It has been like it almost every morning this summer. I think the smashed up table is from the Sports Centre, the seat totally broken off. Removed at least five smashed bottles - had to leave the bin as I’m not strong enough to pick it up. Lots of glass everywhere - beware!”
On Sunday she visited again and reported that she had carried out another litter pick.
She said: “And again this morning! (Sunday). Two full bags of litter cleared yesterday - then faced with this again today. Beryl heroically carried three bags home with her to put at the Tudorville drop off.” She also asked if the Wetherspoons in Ross had any missing uniform reported as there were two hats and two jackets left on top of one of the bins.
