Three local artists, David Young, Dick Ray and Jen Bannister will be holding an exhibition of their work in The Shire Hall, Monmouth, from August 23rd - 25th, 10am - 4pm daily.

There will be some 50 paintings, prints etc to view, plus a small number of unframed works and plenty of arty cards; all is for sale.

David is showing a variety of semi abstracts and landscapes, some based on musical themes, plays and nature.

Dick mainly paints landscapes, mostly from sketches taken in the field from the beautiful Wye Valley where he lives.

Jen often paints in oils using a palette knife but also loves to use soft pastels. Recently, she has been experimenting with oil pastels, which are a law unto themselves. Subjects include landscapes, flowers and the human nude.

Go along to enjoy a quiet (and free) moment wandering amongst three very different interpretations of landscape, nature and the human body.
