BN?SHE?Consultancy have recently hosted a number of community first aid events in Herefordshire, which have provided an excellent opportunity for parents and carers to learn some basic life-saving skills.

As a health and safety consultancy, the company teaches a range of First Aid and Paediatric First Aid courses to professional clients. However, they noticed that there was a gap in the market for a very basic course that would help parents and carers, should the very worst happen.

After several courses in Hereford, the group were asked to run an Introduction to Paediatric First Aid course in Ross-on-Wye. They ran one on the evening of Wednesday, July 27th and the turnout was high.

This short course equipped the participants with the skills needed to deal with choking, how to put a child in to the recovery position, and CPR for children and infants. These basic skills enable parents and carers to cope in an emergency.

Excellent feedback has been received; describing the course as informative, concise and confidence boosting.
